Visual Studio 6.0

Installation Instructions

• Insert Visual Studio 6.0 Disk into CD-Rom drive.

• Program should automatically startup

  • If it does not go to 'start' and got to 'run' and type in d:\setup.exe

• Welcome screen will pop up click 'next' tab

• Read and acknowledge license agreement

• Type in User information and product #ID

• Select 'Install Visual Studio 6.0 Professional Edition'

• Click 'Next' Tab

• Click 'continue' tab on welcome screen

• choose destination folder for program

  • Use default location unless you are keeping an older version of Visual Basic on the same computer

• Click 'Next' tab

• Select the options that you desire in the Custom Install Window

  • Check bottom of window to ensure that there is sufficient Hard disk space to install program in the desired location

• After you have made your selections, Click 'continue' tab

• The program will now install

• Setup Environment Variable Box pops up.  Make a note of .bat file location if needed

• Click 'OK'

• Message window will come up asking up to restart your computer click 'yes'

• Your computer will now restart and windows for additional applications that go with Visual Studio will come up. Follow the rest of the on-screen directions and insert disks when asked for.
